Shipping Info

Shipping ceramics is one of the tricker parts of the game because as much as I try to prevent damages some of it is out of my control. Here's some info on what goes on after you hit checkout! (Thank you!!)

Why is shipping so expensive?

Part of the reason the shipping cost being higher than usual is to cover the extensive packing materials I use to keep your goodies safe as they travel. This includes in some cases, double boxing, paper bubble wrap, corrugated card, packing peanuts/fill and waterproof adhesive tape.

I will also aim to ship you're pieces with couriers I know and trust, as well as ensuring to the best of my ability, you and I both get tracking details.

When will my piece get here?

After your checkout I'll aim to get it wrapped up well, and off to the post office within 3-5 working days. Part of why I request a phone number for postage is so that the posties can reach you for any additional delays or to notify you of the most up to date delivery times. Please note that some international orders require a mobile number to be delivered. At this point I'll flick you an email with tracking details and an updated ETA. Then, depending on location it should be with you:

Aotearoa New Zealand [Within 2 weeks]

Australia [2-5 weeks]

International [5-12 weeks]

What to do when my piece arrives

Regardless of what state the box is in, I'd recommend taking a picture of it before you open it. This means that in the unfortunate event where something is broken in the post I can hopefully claim and postage refund with the courier.

Regardless of the outcome with the postage company, I'll provide a refund for the piece as long as you can send me proof of damage in transport (state of packaging included). Then you and I can talk about how to proceed, if you would like to exchange for another piece and how I might improve my packaging for the next delivery.

If you're piece has arrived safe and sound, do a little dance! I'd still love to see it, so shoot a message or a picture to turningandkerning@gmail.com
